5.4/10

I had a pleasant stay at the Hilton Americas - Houston, thanks to its great location and facilities. however, some issues with room servicing and maintenance marred the experience. The gym on the 23rd floor and the pool area were highlights, but the slow elevators during busy times were a drawback.

Rooms

My room on the 14th floor was comfortable but felt a bit outdated. the mattress was lumpy, and there were some minor maintenance issues with the bathroom fixtures. While the bedding was cozy, I didn't feel the room was as stylish as I'd hoped.
Service
8.0
While the front desk staff were busy and seemed to lack time for the extra mile, I appreciated the friendly service overall. the staff member at the 1600 Bar was particularly attentive and made my dining experience enjoyable. However, I did experience a lapse with housekeeping that wasn't addressed during my stay.
Location
10.0
The hotel's location in the Convention District is unbeatable. it’s connected to the Houston Convention Center and just a short walk from the Toyota Center and Minute Maid Park. This made attending events incredibly convenient for me.
Dining
7.0
I had mixed experiences dining in the hotel. the 1600 Bar offered decent food and excellent service, but I found the main hotel restaurant lacking in both quality and service. The breakfast was expensive, but the variety was appreciated.
Facilities
8.0
The facilities were good overall with a spacious gym and nice pool area. however, the elevators were often slow during peak times, which was frustrating. Room service was quick but could be improved with more late-night options.

I had a wonderful stay at Hilton Americas - Houston during my husband's company Christmas party. The staff provided really good customer service, ensuring our requests were met promptly. However, the pool area had slightly high chlorine levels, causing minor irritation. Overall, the location and amenities made my experience quite enjoyable.

The front desk staff was friendly and attentive, even going the extra mile to inform me about a restaurant reopening and offered to make a reservation for us.
Location

The hotel’s location was fantastic, directly connected to the convention center and just across the street from the Toyota Center, making it easy to get around even in the rain.

I enjoyed meals at the hotel restaurants; the portions were generous, and the quality of the food was impressive, although the prices were on the higher side.

The hot tub was enjoyable despite the strong chlorine, and the indoor pool's temperature was great for swimming. The gym equipment looked great, though I didn't use it.

My stay at Hilton Americas - Houston was enjoyable due to its cleanliness and friendly staff. though I did find some drawbacks, such as lack of food service during certain hours. The hotel's location is fantastic, giving easy access to restaurants and events in downtown, which I appreciated for my concert visit. However, the overall experience was marred slightly by some inconsistencies in service at the restaurant during busy times.

The central location was perfect for attending the concert at the Toyota Center, and I felt safe walking back to the hotel afterward. With nearby restaurants and attractions, it made my stay convenient.

My stay at Hilton Americas - Houston had its ups and downs. The location is unbeatable, especially for events at the nearby convention center, and my room was quite spacious and comfortable. However, I did experience some setbacks, including a concerning safety issue in the elevator area and a lack of in-room amenities when I fell ill. 😊 Overall, it's a beautiful hotel, but there are a few areas that could use improvement.

Rooms
8.0
The room I stayed in was clean, spacious, and had a very comfortable bed, ensuring I could get some rest despite feeling unwell. However, I was disappointed to find an empty fridge and no room service available late at night when I needed it.
Service
7.0
The service at the lobby bar was a mixed bag. While the happy hour drinks were good, I felt that the bartender could have been more attentive. On a positive note, the staff were accommodating when I requested modifications to my order, which speaks volumes about their customer service.
Location
9.0
The location is fantastic, just a quick walk to the convention center and surrounded by restaurants. I really appreciated not having to navigate outside when attending events. The hotel is a great base for exploring downtown without the usual traffic headaches.
Dining
7.0
The breakfast buffet at the hotel offered a nice variety of fresh options. However, the service during breakfast was a bit hit-or-miss, with my drinks arriving a little late. I didn't get to try the restaurant, but my experience at the bar suggests they could shine with more menu options.
Facilities
7.0
The hotel features impressive facilities, including an indoor pool with great city views, but I did note a lack of visible security, which is something I think should be improved for guest safety. I felt uneasy using the elevators at times.
